Fitness for Duty & Occupational Evaluations

clinical psychology and mental health consulting practice providing clinical supervision, fitness for duty, and quality assurance services

I provide independent fitness-for-duty psychological evaluations, occupational psychological evaluations, return-to-work evaluations, and URAMP evaluations for professionals, employers, organizations, and individuals referred through the Massachusetts Unified Recovery and Monitoring Program.

Each independent evaluation is tailored to the specific referral question and may include a clinical interview, psychological assessment, review of relevant records, collateral contacts, and psychological testing when appropriate. Evaluations may follow an employer referral, concerns about workplace functioning or safety, a return from leave, or a requirement of URAMP or another monitoring program.

My approach is thorough, respectful, and focused on understanding the whole clinical picture rather than reducing someone to a diagnosis or a single point in time. I consider current functioning, clinical history, relevant risk and protective factors, treatment participation, and the specific demands of the person’s professional role. The goal is to provide a clear, objective opinion about readiness to work, fitness for duty, or the specific question being asked.

For URAMP evaluations, I am an approved evaluator and complete the assessment with attention to the program’s requirements, including record review and collateral information when relevant. Whether the referral comes from an employer, attorney, monitoring program, or the individual themselves, I aim to make the process clear, fair, and clinically grounded, with practical recommendations that directly address the referral question.
